Gumnut Gallery and Boutique

Mingei Store House

Mary Taguchi’s timeless, much-loved work with Japanese indigo dyed cottons is now housed in Mingei Store House, Village Square. Based on the principles of the Mingei philosophy of quality and function, handcrafted small studio runs, these Mingei shirts, jackets, bags, hats, cushions and tableware, and fabrics are for sale. The beautifully simple mugs and plates of Sandy Lockwood share the store house space; with ceramics and textiles making a perfect pair of functional simplicity and modest elegance.
