The Carrington Inn is a great location in the Canberra region for a range of smaller sized conference activities from recurring off-site team meetings to new product and policy launches.

The combination of venues and services offered by the Inn make the Carrington a unique self-contained conference centre.  Our facilities are filled with natural light and rural charm, and are professionally furnished.  Each year our gardens get more lovely as new plantings mature, making them inviting for break-out areas or just quiet contemplation.

The rural inn provides a compliment of spaces that together create a great environment particularly conducive to productive intellectual and creative meeting pursuits.  Pursuits such as workshops, executive meetings, conferences, lectures, small expositions, and team building.

The spaces include, the Rose Cottage’s function spaces – Main Hall, Foyer, and glass-enclosed Veranda; the ELM PARK event grounds, and the FLOCK restaurant & beer garden. The Inn has 26 recently refurbished and comfortable accommodation suites on the property, where attendees to multi-day meetings can feel at home.

The Carrington Inn staff know that every event is important to its convener.  Accordingly, they are dedicated to making them affordable, easy to organise, and effective.

We can provide venues that can accommodate from 10 to 120 participants indoors, and as many as 400 in our outdoor ELM PARK event grounds.


The Carrington Inn isn’t an isolated resort.  It is at the centre of an interesting and accessible rural village complete with numerous craft galleries, cafés, and friendly pubs that provide character and interest to meeting participants during down-time.  

It is close enough to the national capital of Canberra to be a short drive, and far enough to create the feeling of getting away from it all.  Your participants can travel to the Carrington by car or train. The Inn is 3-blocks from Country Link’s Bungendore Station with multiple daily connections to Sydney,  and 25-minutes from Canberra International Airport.  The Inn has an abundance of on-site parking for cars and busses and is serviced by taxi and Uber.

For people organising a multi-day conference, the Carrington staff can assist in arranging short local tours to award-winning wineries, pastoral farms, truffle farm, wind turbine farm, or the deep-space telescope to mention a few interesting and unusual possibilities.


At your Carrington Inn function, you can say farewell to the cliché conference fare. 

Here, the chefs will prepare contemporary, colonial-heritage, or internationally-inspired food for you, for a similar price of a Delegates Package at a city hotel. Their food will satisfy your participants and support the success of your meeting.

Guest Accommodation

Suites: We have twenty-six comfortable accommodation suites on the property that is naturally graced year-round with a variety of beautiful exotic birds such as Silver Crested Cockatoos, Eastern Rosella parrots, grand pink and grey Galas, and iconic Australian Kookaburras (as featured in our logo).

Each has a kitchenette, fridge, safe, large flat-screen TV, climate control air-conditioning, excellent room lighting, and Australian-made Sukin natural fine bath amenities.  Some suites have spa baths.

Secure Location:  The Carrington Inn can provide a secure venue property for organisers with that need.  The entire well lit property is contained within a fenced and gated perimeter.  Carpark access is gated and has close-circuit 24/7 monitoring. There is wired internet for each rooms as well as wireless, and electronic door locks  are auditable.

Drinks & Dining:  Before and after the function, guests can enjoy the Carrington Inn’s food and beverage destinations, including the FLOCK restaurant & beer garden; our Cafe Woodworks art gallery cafe, as well a bespoke themed indoor and outdoor social eating and barbeque.

Fitness: For exercise, Bungendore Village is a safe and friendly place to go for a slow stroll or a brisk run. Inn guests can also take advantage of  third-party fitness, dance, and pool facilities within 3 blocks of the Inn. Push bikes and helmets are available for guests to use.
