“Carrington Inn and Cafe WoodWorks’ special events are created to make it easy to party and socialise.

Throughout the year, our staff create and organise fun and memorable events for seasonal celebrations, cultural remembrances, and just great times out.  Events where all the organisation, catering, and entertainment are taken care of for you, so all you have to do is book in, brush up, and bring a friend.”

For over a century, The Carrington’s character and heritage has made it a sociable place to eat, drink, and be merry. Our Special Events are organised to make it easy for people, with limited time, to organise something fun to do with old friends, and to make some new friends too.

Faulty Towers the Dining Experience

by The Carrington Inn

29th & 30th September 2017

Sold Out – Call for Waitlist

Faulty Towers the Dining Experience is a 20-year dinner-theatre hit.

During Floriade 2017, the Carrington Inn – Bungendore is bringing a little bit of the English Riviera to the Capital Region for 3 performances.

This globetrotting show is truly quite legendary, selling out in places like Sydney Opera House, Raffles Singapore and London’s West End. In this, its 20th anniversary year of touring, it comes to The Carrington Inn – but be warned: it’ll sell out here too, so early booking is essential!

Chaos greets audiences as soon as they walk through the door. In this fully immersive experience, the audience become diners in the infamous ‘Faulty’ restaurant, served a 3-course meal by Basil, Sybil and Manuel. Expect lashings of laughter, bowls full of spontaneity and as much audience participation as individual audience members want. And with 70% of the show improvised, no two performances are ever the same.

Debuting in Brisbane in April 1997, Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is a worldwide hit, appearing in around 20 countries. Highlights of 2017 include a string of return visits to Fringe Festivals in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Edinburgh, and tours in Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Australia and the Caribbean. With an ongoing residency, too, in the heart of London’s theatre land, it’s clear that Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is the most successful interactive comedy show of its kind.

Ten teams of cast now tour the world virtually non-stop. The cast for The Carrington Inn features Karen Hamilton (Sybil), Ron Kelly (Basil) and Geoffrey Reczek (Manuel).
